From Rúa do Franco, lose yourself in the Old Zone of Compostela. You will reach emblematic squares such as Obradoiro, Quintana or Cervantes, as well as its main monuments, for example, the Monastery of San Martiño Pinario and the Cathedral of Santiago. It is in the latter where we recommend you make a stop, not only to impress yourself with its spectacular Baroque façade but also to enter and go up to its roofs, from where you will contemplate a magical and unique view of all of Compostela.
After discovering the Old Zone of Santiago, cross the most famous pedestrian crossing in the city, the Porta Faxeira, which connects the Rúa do Franco with the Alameda Park. There a green and cozy walk awaits you, where the Marías will receive you, an essential in your visit to Santiago.
To continue celebrating Mother's Day, head to Noia in the afternoon, a town just half an hour from Compostela. There, if what you like is the coast, you can take a walk along the beach of Boa Grande, Boa Pequena, Taramancos or Testal. Also, if the day calls for it, you will find different terraces where you can have a drink in the sun.
And to end the day, go to the Monte San Lois Viewpoint. This is at an altitude of 363 meters and has spectacular views of the urban center of Noia and the Muros y Noia estuary. Take the opportunity to go up at the end of the day, so you can enjoy a beautiful panoramic view at sunset.
