XIV Medieval Fair
After 14 editions, the Padrón Medieval Fair has already become a classic in the Sar region. This year the medieval market will take place on the first weekend of July, from Friday 5 to Sunday 7, and will fill the historic center of the village with the best atmosphere of the Middle Ages and the typical craft and gastronomy stalls.
This year, in addition, the fair will feature an exhibition and assembly of stained glass windows, with the personalized visit of Traslatio, demonstrations of work of stone, wood and leather work and the visit of a "Macías or Namorado" very special. Festivities of the "Santiaguiño do Monte"
On July 25 comes another of Padrón's fundamental celebrations: the Santiaguiño do Monte, a party that we have already talked about several times on our blog. But this year, in addition to the race of donkeys, the Asnot, the concerts or the traditional pilgrimage of the day of the Apostle; The event will feature a very special novelty: the Santiaguiño Open Air.
It is an electronic music festival that, starting from a popular initiative, was held for the first time in 2018 coinciding with the traditional pilgrimage, but in a higher part of the mountain. After the success of the first edition, this year the organizers have proposed to improve the festival, with which they intend to give a new air to the celebration and adapt it to a younger audience, without neglecting the adults.
