Last week we had a special visit at the Scala hotel in Padrón: The Royal Guard. This special security force was passing by Padron doing the Camino de Santiago Portuguese, and thanks to this fact we know a little more about his work and had the opportunity to approach those responsible for the safety of our monarchs.
From our blog we give you some notes on their performance and composition. The Royal Guard is a unit called "interarmies", ie, it consists of representatives of the Army, Navy, Air Force and Common Corps of the Armed Forces. A peculiarity are their uniforms, which represent the spirit of tradition of work performed, coupled with modernity to be transmitted, following the line of our kings, always looking for a reign according to today.
The locations of this security are three: quartering located in the town of El Pardo in Madrid, a detachment in Palma de Mallorca and facilities of the Music Unit at the Royal Palace of Madrid. Their Highnesses locations frequented assiduously at different times of the year.
From the Hotel Group Scala we want to send a warm greeting to the group that selected us to rest after a busy day walking in the beautiful road leading to Compostela from Portugal. A pleasure to have such distinguished guests and they play such an important role for the Royal House. Thank you for this beautiful badge that gave us, and we will recall in our facilities, reflecting a short but nice game.
The Camino de Santiago is a great opportunity to enhance the relationship between peers and grow the team spirit. In addition, a way to stay in shape while we can discover the culture, nature and history of thousands of villages and towns through which it passes this ancient route.
Do you dare to make a stop at our hotel the day before finishing the Jacobean route and enter the city of the apostle rested "as God commands"?
