As every year Easter comes and with it the Easter Festivities of Padrón. This is the biggest festivity of the municipality. They last more than a week and have an impressive poster. This Easter come to the Hotel Scala and enjoy the Easter Festivities of Padrón.
Declared a Festivity of Tourist Interest in Galicia in 2022, the Easter Festivities of Padrón already have a great reputation. They will begin on the 8th of April, with the opening address by the actor David Amor. Then they will continue with a concert by Dorian, a big open-air dance with Unión y Fuerza and a concert by Álvaro de Luna.
Despite being a religious celebration, as a good Galician festivity, there will be plenty of open-air dances. The most outstanding days, paying tribute to Easter, will be Monday 10th and Tuesday 11th, which will feature the orchestras Panorama and París de Noia, respectively.
Other great Galician bands will also be present, such as the orchestra Los Satélites on the 9th or Olympus, which will be the finishing touch to the festivities on Sunday the 16th. There will also be a multitude of DJs to liven up these festive evenings.
In addition to the traditional Feira Cabalar, which attracts thousands of people, it is also common for the Easter Festivities programme to include sporting activities. On 8 April, the XLII Edition of the Popular Race will be held, which will cover 13 kilometres starting at 12:00 from the Plaza de Macías. There will also be walks, rhythmic gymnastics tournaments, chess, football and boxing championships.
