February, a lovely month
The romantic ones know that February 14 is one of the most marked dates in the calendar. Without a doubt, it is a special day for all the lovers and the best way to celebrate it, is to enjoy a unique experience with your partner. This 2019, on February 14 it's Thursday, so what better way to pamper yourself booking a room and enjoy one of the delicious menus that our restaurant offers! You will love it.
March by the song "La vida es un Carnaval"
Carnival is the funniest party of the year because who doesn't like to become someone else for a few hours and go out dancing on the street by the beat of the batucadas and comparsas? It fascinates us. That's why we invite you to come to live a fairytale Carnival this March 3 at Hotel Scala. Last year was full of activities for everyone!
Also, this year Galicia will celebrate Father's Day as a holiday. Tuesday, March 19 is set in the calendar as a free day for all Galicians, so we propose you a great plan: why not making a break and coming with the family with us to celebrate it?
Easter is the protagonist of April
Easter is one of the most important and big festivities in Padrón, a week full of passion translated into crowds of people in the streets admiring the beautiful processions so characteristic from our culture. This year, lovers of the Holy Week are lucky, because many autonomous communities, including Galicia, will have Thursday 18 and Friday 19 April free. An extraordinary 4-day long weekend to enjoy a family vacation.
A May full with vacations
May will undoubtedly be a great month in terms of holidays, up to two festive dates give us the opportunity to break with the routine. The first of May celebrates, as every year, the Day of the Worker with a well-deserved rest for all of them. Then, on Friday, May 17, Galicia is celebrating and is paying tribute to all Galician writers on Galician Letters Day. This year they will be dedicated to Antón Fraguas.
A summer of sun, party beach and Hotel Scala
In the hottest months of the year our body asks for sun and beach. Our hotel is located only 15 minutes away from the beaches of Ría de Arousa. If you prefer a more cultural plan, don't forget that you are next to Santiago de Compostela, so do not hesitate to come and enjoy Santiago's summer.
The 25th of July is the biggest day of Galicia, because the Apostle is celebrated. Moreover in Padrón we celebrate the traditional pilgrimage of Santiaguiño do Monte. The day before is celebrated in Padrón the Asnot, a donkey race and plenty of activities. Are you going to miss it?
Summer is very long, and this year it will be even longer for the Galicians. To the usual holiday on August 15, will be added Friday 16. This end up in an great long weekend in which we invite you to visit our facilities and enjoy our pool after all your plans.
October and its most national party
On October 12, 1942 the Christopher Columbus expedition arrived on the island of Guaraní, in the archipelago of the Bahamas. Since that day is celebrated throughout Spain the Hispanity Day and also the Day of the Virgen del Pilar, patron of Spain. This 2019 the free day is the second Saturday of October. How about spending the weekend with us?
The month of the Meigas: November
It is well known that Galicia is a land of meigas (whitches) and it's because here we don't celebrate Halloween, we celebrate Samaín: the night in which the deceased return and walk among the living. Can you think of a better place to spend the Day of the Dead? This year first of November it's Friday, so come to Hotel Scala and get ready to spend a scary weekend, we wait for you.
Christmas looms in December
It is well known that Christmas is the protagonist of December. In the blink of an eye, they will be here again and we just started the year. However, they are not the only dates to celebrate, because just at the beginning of the month there is the Constitution Day. On Friday, December 6, we will be able to plan a wonderful three-day long weekend that also includes Sunday 8 (Immaculate Conception Day).
